Idaho Drug Rehab Information
The Idaho DEC (Drug Endangered Children) serves to coordinate and
document the work of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of law enforcement,
emergency room physicians, emergency medical services, fire departments, and
Children and Family Services to respond effectively to illicit drug
laboratories and other drug environments where children are present and
declared in imminent danger.
As of September 21, 2006, there were 44 drug courts in existence
or being planned in Idaho. Thirty-three drug courts had been operating for more
than 2 years, 2 were recently implemented, and 9 were being planned at that
time. More than 75% of the Federal drug cases involved methamphetamine.
During 2005, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reported
making 134 arrests for drug violations in Idaho. The same year there were 4,683
adult and 802 juvenile drug/narcotics violation arrests in Idaho.
